My Background
I love oil painting contemporary art out doors, getting some peace and quiet in the wind and cold! And being creative!!
I prefer working with palette knife and my paintings keep veering back to texture. The more I think and concentrate the more the painting veers towards realism, the more I just go with the flow, the more the painting is expressionism. But who knows what's going to be revealed on each blank canvas.
The Irish sea and Irelands rugged countryside inspires the paintings.
I like to paint En Plein Air ( outside on site) when I can. I paint alla prima ( wet paint in one sitting) when painting outdoors.
Affordable art is a goal of mine, so that everyone can easily choose an original painting to enjoy without the pressure of a hefty price tag.
